Our beliefs and mission
Our focus is privacy-first design. Wherever possible, projects under darkrain are built to minimize data collection, prioritize local or user-controlled processing, and keep you in control of your information.
Privacy is a core design principle of anything we create and will create in the future.
We believe in true-to-marketing and true-to-you products.
Common Questions
Is darkrain open source?
Some smaller tools may be open source, but our core projects generally are not. Outview Go is planned to receive a one-time open-source Linux release. darkrain will not maintain that release afterward.
Why local first?
It keeps more of your information on your machine. It also avoids unnecessary trips through a server.
